New lamps on the left bank of Vltava River

Modern lamps on the bank of Vltava River

Quarter: Nove Mesto Theme: Artworks

Due to floods in the reason past both banks of Vltava River should be repaired and rebuilt. That is why old lams was replaced by new one.
You can compare work of contemporary Prague city artist with old fashioned lamps which you find on Charles Bridge.

The place where this picture was take is called “Naplavka” and it is situated on the left bank of Vltava River.
Naplavka connects Prague city centre (starts near Manes gallery, which you find just behind the National Theatre) with Vysehrad Castle.

If you like walks I definitely recommend to use Naplavka for trip to Vysehrad, Slavin Cemetery or St. Martin Rotunda.

On the background of the picture you can find Palacky Bridge, Perin Hill and of course complex of Prague Castle.
