Like many other cities also Prague has a river coming through it’s heart. It’s name is Vltava River and no one can miss it because one of the main Prague attractionthe Charles Bridge is across Vltava.

This Vltava River picture was taken from left bank near Legie Bridge and you can see Strelecky Island on the right, Charles bridge on the middle also with Old Town Bridge Tower and part of Smetana Museum.

Bedrich Smetana (1824-1884) )was very important Czech composer for whom Vltava River was inspiration for symphonic poem Ma Vlast. He is interred in the Vysehrad cemetery.
